Application of Acrylic

Acrylic has the advantages of light weight, low cost, and easy molding. Its molding methods include casting, injection molding, mechanical processing, thermoforming, etc. Especially injection molding, it can be produced in large quantities, with a simple process and low cost. Therefore, its application is becoming increasingly widespread, and currently it is widely used in instrument parts, car lights, optical lenses, transparent management, and so on. Due to the difficulty and high cost of acrylic production, there are many low-priced substitutes in the market. These substitutes, also known as "acrylic", are actually ordinary organic boards or composite boards (also known as sandwich boards). Ordinary organic boards are cast with ordinary organic glass cracking materials and pigments, with low surface hardness and easy fading. The polishing effect is poor after polishing with fine sand. The composite board only has a thin layer of acrylic on the surface and ABS plastic in the middle, which is prone to delamination due to thermal expansion and contraction during use.
